Who is responsible for your information

Café Julia is the personal information controller for information collected through this website. Questions, requests, or concerns may be sent to cafejuliaph@gmail.com.

Information we collect

You can browse this website and contact us through Messenger, Instagram, or email without creating an account.

If you choose Google sign-in, we receive your Google account identifier, verified email address, display name, and optional profile image. We do not receive your Google password.

If you create an inquiry, we collect the information you provide, such as the inquiry type, event date, occasion, servings or guest count, design and flavor preferences, pickup or delivery preference, optional budget, notes, and reference-image links. We also keep account, session, inquiry-status, and submission timestamps needed to operate the service securely.

Google Analytics 4 may collect device, browser, approximate location, referral, and website-interaction information through cookies or similar technologies. Our custom analytics events do not include inquiry text, email addresses, Google identifiers, or other information intended to identify you.

How and why we use it

We use personal information to:

• authenticate your optional account and keep you signed in;
• save, retrieve, submit, and update your inquiries;
• respond to your request and discuss availability, design, pricing, pickup, or delivery;
• protect the website, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot errors;
• understand general website use and improve the customer experience; and
• maintain appropriate business records and comply with legal obligations.

Who receives it

Authorized Café Julia staff may access submitted inquiry information to respond to you. We use Google for optional sign-in and website analytics, and Amazon Web Services for application hosting, data storage, and email delivery. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable privacy terms. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a legitimate business reorganization.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Storage, security, and retention

Your profile, active inquiries, and sessions are stored using Amazon Web Services in Singapore. Google may process sign-in and analytics information in other countries under its own privacy terms. We use safeguards such as encrypted connections, restricted service permissions, secure session cookies, and expiring sessions. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Sessions expire after seven days. If you delete your account, we remove your profile, sessions, and drafts. Submitted inquiries are separated from your account and direct contact details, retained for up to 12 months as a business record, and then scheduled for deletion. We may retain limited information longer when reasonably required by law, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or an active transaction.

Your choices and rights

Creating an account is optional. You may use Messenger, Instagram, or email instead. You can sign out or request account deletion from the Order & Inquiries page.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to be informed about our processing, access or correct your information, object to or restrict certain uses, request deletion or portability, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and raise a concern with the Philippine National Privacy Commission. To make a request, email cafejuliaph@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Third-party services and links

This site links to Google, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and email services. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own privacy policies. You can also manage or block analytics cookies through your browser settings.

Children's privacy

The saved-inquiry account feature is not intended for children to use without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. We will publish the revised version here and update the date above. Material changes will be highlighted when reasonably practical.
